ERNIE'S TOYLAND. Owner Ernie Coopman made this store into every child's delight! Both Ernie Coopman Sr. and Jr. truly knew the toy business,making Ernie's Toyland the finest and largest toy store in the Yuba-Sutter Area. They carried everything from baby items to bicycles.
Ernie's Toyland was in the Yuba-Sutter area from 1958 until 2004,making kids happy throughout the community for over 60 years. After Ernie Jr closed Ernies Toyland,he worked at Home Depot for 10 years before he retired in 2012. He spent his retirement serving the community through DeMolay and Shriners.
Ernie is survived by many Brothers of Ben Ali Shriners and DeMolay. He spent his life in service to others and was especially fond of the youth in our community. Ernie kept busy preparing and donating bicycles to elementary school children. It was his passion to select a school each year and then raise funds to provide bikes for needy youth.

Some of Ernie Coopman Jr's accomplishments:
- Ernie served in the U.S. Navy in the 1950's.
- He was 5 times the Master of his Corinthians Hammonton Lodge in Marysville and followed in his father's footsteps of being a leader in the Lodge.
- He served in the Navy and just before his death,he was honored with 50 plus years as a dedicated member of DeMolay.
- He was a member of the Corinthian Hammonton Lodge #9; Marysville Commander #7.
- Ernie was also a member of Shriners International & Ben Ali Shriners of Sacramento.
